Daddy CP is originally from South London who is well known & respected within the DJ industry. He has been playing Reggae, Revival, Lovers rock, Dancehall, Soul, Rare Groove & RnB for over 25 years to a range of people in and around London and around England.
He first started playing music from 4 years old when he used to copy his father by putting 7” records on the famous Blue Spot Gram.
He was influenced to become a DJ while listening to David Rodigan & Tony Williams in the seventies & started to collect records at a very early age.
He officially first started DJing in 1982 when he was part of the sound system Construction E.S.Q with members Samson aka Uncle Gerry, Muscle Mikey, Daddy Silver, Brains, Cockney Chris & Babyface Gary (R.I.P)
He has played at various well known venues in London such as All Nations, Granaries’ Night Club, Night Moves, Vision Nightspot, Reggae Love Lounge, etc just to name a few & is part of the founder group & 1st sound system to play at the well known British Telecom Dances in the West End of London.
He has worked alongside London’s top radio presenters and sound systems such as Daddy Ernie, Commander B, Sugar Dread, Natty B , Main Squeeze, JB Crew & Studio One (too many too mention).
In 2000 he embarked in enhancing his DJ skills and started presenting shows on Lightning FM Radio with his DJ Partner Samson aka Uncle Gerry.
He has also worked on London Community Radio (LCR) briefly.
Daddy CP has said that being part of the Reggaewave.net Radio Presenters Team has enabled him to express his range of old & new reggae music.
The vibes & positive feedback he has received has been encouraging especially the daily interaction in the Reggaewave.net Shout Box (chat room).
